The federal government on Monday stated it is going to maintain additional consultations for making ready a recent draft of the broadcasting invoice, amid considerations in some quarters over restrictions on social and digital media house within the proposed regulation.
The draft Broadcasting Providers Regulation Invoice, circulated by the federal government amongst a number of stakeholders, drew criticism from media our bodies equivalent to DigiPub and the Editors Guild of India which claimed that digital media organisations and civil society associations weren’t consulted on the transfer.
