WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A Peruvian gang chief was apprehended by U.S. immigration officers in New York on Wednesday, a spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated on Thursday.
Homeland Safety Investigations notified ICE’s subject workplace in Buffalo final month that the person, Gianfranco Torres-Navarro, 38, was needed in Peru, the company stated.
ICE stated Torres-Navarro was transferred to Buffalo Federal Detention Facility in Batavia, New York, pending immigration proceedings.
